What is Spec Assistant?

Spec Assistant is a Microsoft Word Add-In, compatible with Word 2007 onwards. Once installed, Spec Assistant adds its own ribbon (see below) to your standard Word interface.

Spec Assistant is an authoring tool for technical specialists; especially those authoring specification documents, hence the name. It takes information from a variety of data sources and renders it into a Word document in a matter of seconds. No fiddly hand keying or cut and paste. Spec Assistant gives you total control over data source and presentation.

Choose your data-set, apply styles, or create your own and you’re good to go.
